Chaka Khan

Chaka who is also known as Queen of Funk as she is also called, was an American record producer. She has received a total ten Grammys in her long career that spans more than 50 years. In addition, she was named the 65th-highest successful dancer of all time by Billboard magazine. Born in Chicago, Illinois and introduced to jazz at an early stage by her maternal grandmother. In her early years, she performed with various bands. Later on she joined of a band called Rufus. The group recorded her first record when she was just twenty-one. The following year, the group received their first Grammy. She released her self-titled debut album in the years that followed her solo debut. The following years, she released other albums including "Echoes from an Era", "The Woman I Am" and one song dubbed "Funk This". Other than her contributions to music, she's also received recognition for her charity work. The foundation she founded was Chaka Khan Foundation to help children in need. Chaka Khan Foundation to help children with families in need, in addition to individuals with autism. Khan is also actress on occasion. She played in the role of Sister Carrie on stage in "Mama I'm Ready to Sing." Chaka Chaka Chaka
