
Thomas William Selleck is an American actor from America. His most well-known role was Thomas Magnum, a private investigator in Magnum, P.I. (1980-1988) during which time the actor received five Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and won in 1985. Since the year 2010, Selleck has appeared as New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the series Blue Bloods. In nine TV films inspired by the Robert B. Parker novels, he played Jesse Stone, a troubled small-town police chiefwho began his career in 2005. Selleck also played Peter Mitchell who was a student architect as well as a bachelor architecture student in Three Men and a Baby (1987), and Three Men and A Little Lady(1990). He has also been seen in over 50 different film and television roles since Magnum, P.I., including the films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Lassiter and baseball.
